Bet’a Bread Bakery & Deli was the small business spotlighted at the June 27 Lackawanna County Commissioners Meeting. This locally owned business has been in operation since 2010 in Clarks Summit. Owner Michael Bonczar is a self-taught, scratch backer, studying various dough recipes and handling techniques. Bet’a, which has a total of four employees, offers 18 different kinds of bread and is open Tuesday – Saturday. Mr. Bonczar sells his breads at local Farmers’ Markets from June – November, which generates half of the revenue for the business.
