South Abington Police Chief Robert A. Gerrity has been fighting crime for over 45 years. His career began in 1973 as a part-time officer in Archbald. In 1978, he was hired in South Abington and then became Chief in 1991. Mr. Gerrity has participated in numerous continuing education and advanced training classes in law enforcement. He is also active in the chiefs of police association on the local and state levels.
