A check for $20,000 was presented to officials of Sherwood Park by the Lackawanna County Commissioners. The funding will be used to cover a portion of the cost for constructing an indoor softball practice building, the design of two bleacher pads and the installation of a handicap accessible walkway between the fields and parking lot. The Community Re-invest Program is open to all Lackawanna County municipalities, municipal authorities, charitable agencies and nonprofit organizations.
