Lackawanna County and Lackawanna Historical Society officials gather at the entrance to the Model Mine at McDade Park for an award from the Anthracite Heritage Museum and Coal Steering Committee. This honor marks the 250th anniversary of “King Coal” in our area, throughout the United States, and the historic value of the McDade Park mine as a tourist attraction.
