Burgit’s Electric City Taxi, a Wilkes Bare-based service that is moving to Scranton, was the small business spotlighted at the June 28 Lackawanna County Commissioners Meeting. The company, in business for 40 years, has opened in a new facility on East Locust Street. It will provide 24-hour, seven days-a-week service throughout the County with a fleet of 14 taxis. Safety is a top concern with cameras in every car, digital radios and courteous drivers who will take passengers anywhere and get them there on time.
