Three eighth grade students from West Scranton Intermediate School won first place in the middle school division of the 2017 National C-SPAN Student Cam Video Contest for a production entitled “US Gun Violence – A Complicated Puzzle.” The girls received a $3,000 prize check, half of which they donated to the Sandy Hook Promise organization. Lackawanna Country Commissioner Patrick M. O’Malley presented the three girls with Certificates of Recognition.
