The Northeast Berry Growers’ Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm at the Iron Skillet Restaurant in the Petro Plaza, Avoca.
Commercial berry growers will have an opportunity to learn from Extension Berry Crops Specialist Kathy Demchak and Extension Educator John Esslinger.
The Berry Growers’ Meeting will give growers an opportunity to learn the results of the latest research on berry production. Ms. Demchak has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to berry production that is presented in an easy to understand manner. Growers will also receive training on the safe use of pesticides that qualifies for recertification credits.

- What’s New in Berry Pests
- Update of Fungicides, Herbicides, and Insecticides for Berry Crops
- Pesticide Applicator Training
There is no registration fee for the meeting. Individuals can order food off of the menu and pay at the end of the meeting. If the program needs to be postponed, only those individuals who signed-up will be contacted.
