Richard Bradshaw, inside left, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton, accepts a “Good Works” certificate from the Lackawanna County Commissioners in recognition of the organization’s upcoming “Show Your Stripes Club” presentation with the Bochicchio Sports Character Initiative on March 30 at the University of Scranton’s John Long Center, featuring NFL All-Pro lineman Joe Ehrmann. The motivational talk, entitled “Building A Winning Culture,” is free and open to the public, starting at 6 PM. Located on Wheeler Avenue in Scranton, the house opened its doors in June 1986. The “home away from home” underwent a recent renovation that incorporated an elevator, six second floor bedrooms, and two handicapped accessible bedrooms on the first floor. The Ronald McDonald House utilizes gifts from the McDonald’s Corporation, local donations and various fundraisers to operate. There are over 300 houses located worldwide.
