A group of area volunteers provided significant assistance to the Lackawanna County Veterans Affairs Office the past four years for Memorial Day by placing flag holders and flags at the graves of over 10,000 soldiers at The Cathedral Cemetery. The Lackawanna County Commissioners presented the group with “Good Works” certificates for its efforts.
