The Northeastern Detachment Marine Corps League honored Lackawanna County’s Veterans Affairs Director Robert Tuffy and his staff for their efforts in securing benefits and providing a multitude of services for the 28,000 veterans in our community. In 2013-2014, the County office secured $3,836,656 in benefits to assist local veterans and their families. The office also provides information on housing, self-help programs and medical treatment and schedules in home or assisted living visits to accommodate veterans and their families.
