About Our Hosts: Heller’s Farm is about 100 acres total: 60 acres are in apples, 15 in peaches,
2 in cherries, 1 in pears, and 1 in plums. Greg is the sixth generation on the farm and third generation growing tree fruit. The orchard is celebrating its 99th year of operation. Many innovative practices are used to improve yield and fruit quality.

Timely disease management tips for early season, as well as potential issues growers may encounter during the Summer. Updates on the new Tree Fruit Production Guide will also be discussed.
♦Monitoring and Management for Insect and Mite Pests, Dr. Greg Krawczyk
Updates on new tools and techniques to monitor and manage insect pests while protecting beneficials.
♦Apple Thinning and Promoting Return Bloom, Dr. Rob Crassweller
Recommendations to help growers make decisions for apple crop load management and return bloom. Updates will also include orchard nutrition and weed control.
