The Lackawanna County Commissioners presented Cynthia Donlan, inside right, of the Lupus Foundation of Pennsylvania with a “Good Works” certificate in recognition of both the organization’s 40th anniversary and the outstanding education and research work provided by the agency. The Foundation serves over 11,000 Northeastern Pennsylvania residents. This chronic autoimmune disease affects more than 1.5 million Americans, ninety percent of which are women between the ages of 15-44.
