Mother’s Day Pots & Plants Sale Set For May 7th
The Lackawanna County Arts & Culture Department will sponsor a Mother’s Day Pots and Plants Sale on Saturday, May 7, from 11 am – 1 pm on the 200 block of N. Washington Avenue on Courthouse Square.
The proceeds will benefit Maternal Family and Health (MFHS), an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women with children and also providing families with essential health and nutrition services in its 17-county service area.
The project is a partnership with Artworks Gallery & Studio, a fully licensed day program for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Artists from the studio created unique, one-of-a-kind pottery in a range of sizes. Prices start at $10. In addition to the sale, there will be free art activities, music, and a sound bowl meditation.
In case of severe weather, the event will move to the Electric City Trolley Museum, 300 Cliff Street, Scranton. Check the Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Facebook Page, @LackawannaCountyArts, for updates.
