The Tobyhanna Army Depot 4th Quarter Retiree Breakfast Club provided the manpower to clean and paint Olyphant Borough’s M24 tank, which was used in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. The project, which began on September 2 and completed on September, was supervised by Robert Tuffy, Lackawanna County’s Veterans Affairs Deputy Director. This initiative was the brainchild of George and Kim Atkinson of Olyphant. The borough provided an air pressure blower and power washer, and Mike Gregor of Sherman Williams donated the paint.
