Virtual Inclusion Workshop Set For May 7
On Friday, May 7, the Lackawanna County Arts & Culture Department will sponsor Art, Access and Ability: Creating Opportunities for People with Diverse Abilities, a free virtual lunch time panel from Noon – 1 pm.
The goal of the panel is to discuss how the arts and culture sector can be more inclusive to persons with disabilities. The topic of artists with disabilities, who work in our community, will also be examined.
The panel will be moderated by Keith Williams, Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator for the Center for Independent Living. Panelists include: Joseph Salva, Executive Director for Individual Abilities in Motion (I Am); Amy Pindar, Co-Founder of the Inclusion Festival; Gwen Harleman, Art Director of The Deutsche Institute – Verve Vertu Studio; Cathy Roccia-Meier, Chairperson of Pennsylvania’s Special Education Advisory Panel; and Rachel Lucille Woodworth of LittleStarRun.
